Meet Dr Temitope Farombi, founder of Brain Centre, Ibadan


Dr Temitope Hannah Farombi is the  brain behind the Brain Centre,  a neurocritical and neurorehabilitation service hospital in Ibadan.

A neurologist par excellence, Doctor Farombi received her medical school training from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.  In her  quest for more knowledge, she headed to King's College,  London, the United Kingdom for  her Master's Degree in Clinical Neuroscience. Again, Dr Farombi earned a Ph.D in Global Health from the University of West London, the United Kingdom.

A scholar eager to impact humanity, the neurologist set up many organisations, including Online Health (OHealth), Brain Health Initiative Nigeria, the Brain Centre, among others.

Dr Farombi is a dedicated neurologist and global health advocate committed to advancing brain health through innovation, research, and strategic leadership. As an Atlantic Fellow for the Global Brain Health Institute (GBHI), she actively addresses challenges and opportunities in global brain health, collaborating with thought leaders to drive transformative solutions.

Dr. Farombi is the founder of Ohealth, a pioneering health-tech start-up in Nigeria that leverages cutting-edge technology to improve access to specialist care and enhance patient education for better health outcomes. She also established the Brain Health Initiative Nigeria, a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness, providing education, reducing stigma, and advocating for policies that promote brain health in Nigeria. Through community engagement and evidence-based interventions, the initiative aims to tackle neurological disorders effectively.

As a consultant neurologist, Dr. Farombi brings extensive clinical expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of neurological conditions, with a particular focus on neurodegenerative diseases. Her approach is deeply rooted in patient-centered care, utilizing the latest advancements in medical science to deliver personalized treatment plans.

With a robust background spanning global health, technology, and clinical practice, Dr. Farombi is passionate about driving progress in brain health and making a meaningful impact on the global stage.
